I am very disappointed there has been a significant crime rise across the City of Frankston.
Within the figures, though, there is a particularly frightening jump in crime in Carrum Downs.
“I am appalled by the 24.6% crime spike in Carrum Downs which coincides with the change in hours of the police station.
“Crime comes up as a huge issue in Carrum Downs when door-knocking and visiting local shopping centres and community groups. These dreadful figures back up the concerns.
“State Labor’s police cuts and soft on crime approach are having a direct impact on our local community, and none of our elected Labor reps are doing anything about it. They ignore Carrum Downs. Carrum Downs needs a voice.
“I’ve started work on a strong action plan, and if elected will ensure Carrum Downs is heard, and action is taken.
